Pacific Air Airline Pilot
Be enveyed as a pilot for one of the best Virtual Airlines on the web. Our requirments for our pilots will gain you respect from other virtual pilots if you make it in as a pilot. All propective pilots must complete Flight Engineers' test to test your knowledge of aeronautical regulations, flight procedures, instrument flying, and air traffic control; and also a checkride in order to enter the VA as a Flight Engineer. You must score at least a 15 out of 20 on the exam in order to schedule a checkride. Information on the checkride procedures may be found below

Required Equipment- A copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 or 2002; A microphone; headsets or speakers; a joystick or flight yoke.

Pre-requisites
1. A Microsoft Flight Simulator Commercial Pilot Certificate with an Instrument Rating, OR equivilent flying skill level.

2. At least 100 Hours of total Flight Simulator Flight Time. Which includes the following:
~30 Hours of Cross Country Flight Time.
~30 Hours of Night Time.
~30 Hours of Multi-Engine Time.
~20 Hours of Actual Instrument Time (IMC).

3. Ability to pass a line check in a Boeing 737-400 Jet aircraft. E-mail us your resume.

Pacific Air CHECK RIDE INFORMATION
The Pacific Air entrance checkride will be done in a Boeing 734 (737-400). Please familierize yourself with this aircraft. The ride will test all of your IFR flying skills and will be done at & around the Memphis Intl. airport. You will be told which charts you will need by e-mail. Charts and info on the Memphis airport can be found here: http://memphisatc.tripod.com/airports.htm. You will have preform the following:
  • Normal takeoffs & landings
  • Missed approach procedures
  • Emergency procedures
  • Single engine operating
  • Flight manuevers
  • Holding patterns
  • IFR Navigation
  • Cross country flight planning
  • VOR non-precision approaches
  • Precision ILS approaches & landings
  • Air Traffic Control E-mail us your resume.






Skills Needed By All PACA Commercial Pilots
All PACA airline pilots should have knowledge and expirience in the following manuvers and procedures in a Boeing 737-400 jet and within instrument meteorlogical conditions:
Be able to take-off and climb to assigned altitudes.
Be able to hold altitude and headings to exact standrads( no more than +/- 100 ft. off or 10 degrees off).
Be able to climb and descend to altitudes with percision and ease of movement.
Be able to fly procedures such as SIDS and STARS with precision.
Be able to solve in flight emergincies and systems failures.
Be able to fly missed approach procedures as published.
Be able to file proper flight plans and navigate on your own in IFR between waypoits.
Be able to track a NDB.
Be able to navigate using a VOR including IFR fights on radials.
Be able to enter and fly precisly on the federal airways.
Be able to complete non-precision (VOR) approaches to a full stop landing.
Be able to complete precision (ILS) approaches to a full stop landing.
Be able to enter and fly complete holding patterns on both NDBs and VORs.
Be able to safely taxi a heavy jet from a gate to the runway and vice versa.
Be able to complete an emergency landing including belly landings and water ditching.
Air Traffic Control
Must be able to understand ATC instructions and give proper readbacks using C.R.A.F.T. Must carry out ATC instructions with high precision. All pilots should have a good radio ling and etiquette and all must have memorized the ICAO phoenetic alphabet. Should be able tune ATC handed out frequencies, transponder codes, and altimeter readings.

Once you complete the exam, e-mail the awnsers back to the provided e-mail address. If you pass, you will be able to schedule the airline interview. During the interview, you will meet with the CEO and talk about your flight sim experiences. The checkride will then be flown afterwards. After the interview & a successful checkride, you will be free to operate aircraft at eSkyWorld.com as an airline pilot of Pacific Air.
